LINE 5 PART ONE: THE THREAT is a comprehensive new documentary about a looming crisis in the Great Lakes. See the first public screening at the Harbor Springs Library!
Enbridge oil pipeline five was designed to last 50 years. It was built in 1953. Through a provocative series of expert interviews and exclusive images, the film makes a strong case that the line is failing. With a damaged coating and bent, damaged stretches of pipe, Line 5 is in danger of spilling millions of gallons. And it’s sitting in the Straits of Mackinac, where currents would make oil recovery nearly impossible.
Watch the first installment of this feature film, followed by a panel discussion with filmmaker Barton Bund, Engineer Ed Timm, and Hydrologist Roger Gauthier of Straits Area Concerned Citizens.
