We hope you're enjoying summer in Harbor Springs as much as we are here at the library!
Have you noticed our new sign? Thanks so much to a generous grant from the Petoskey Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation and to the creative talent of Decka Designs, we have a beautiful new replacement of our old sign. Please drop in and let us know what you think!
Have you taken advantage of OverDrive yet? With your Harbor Springs Library card and your free account with OverDrive, you can now download audio and digital books directly to your device (phone, tablet, ereader, or computer). We're part of the Up North Digital Consortium, sharing an e-library collection with over 40 other Northern Michigan Libraries. You can "check out" books for free for two weeks, just as you would a hardcover book, and afterward it will automatically be returned to OverDrive. If you need help setting up your OverDrive account and figuring out how to download books, we'll be holding a training session here at the library on Tuesday, August 30th, at 5:30pm. You can read instructions for signing up by clicking here.
The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book is coming up! We're pleased to be hosting events on each day of the Festival, from September 30th through October 2nd. Please note, we'll be closing early on Friday, September 30th in order to make the library available for a poetry discussion, and we'll be closed all day on Saturday for various children's book readings. Festival of the Book events are free of charge and open to the public. Please read more about it by clicking here. Please have a look through the shelf we've set up in the library entrance of authors of the festival! We think you'll find something wonderful to read.
